What We Do

Coverage options explained on your terms — not ours.

Hudson Health Solutions works with small businesses, self-employed professionals, families, and individuals who are between plans or navigating coverage for the first time. We don’t sell insurance the way most people expect. There’s no pitch, no pressure to enroll, and no plan we’re pushing over another. What we do is walk through the options that exist, explain how each one is structured, and make the trade-offs clear — costs, coverage limits, network restrictions, and what happens when you actually use the plan. The goal is for you to understand what you’re looking at well enough to make your own decision. If we don’t handle what you need, we’ll tell you that upfront. We don’t do Medicare, Medicaid, or ACA navigator services. What we do cover is below.

COVERAGE WE WALK YOU THROUGH

Small Business Group Plans

If you’re running a business with a small team and want to offer health coverage, the options aren’t always obvious. We explain how group plans work — carrier options, contribution structures, employee eligibility rules, and what the cost breakdown looks like for you and your team. No HR department required.

Individual & Marketplace Coverage

Whether you’re self-employed, between jobs, or don’t have access to an employer plan, individual coverage is likely where you’re looking. We walk through marketplace plans, off-marketplace options, and how your income and household size affect what’s available and what you’d pay.

Short-Term Health Plans

Short-term plans exist to cover gaps — between jobs, waiting for employer coverage to start, or aging off a parent’s plan. They work differently than major medical and come with limitations worth understanding before you enroll. We explain what they cover, what they don’t, and when they make sense.

Life Insurance

Term life and whole life serve different purposes and cost different amounts. We break down how each policy type is structured, what factors affect your premium, and how coverage amounts are typically calculated — so you can figure out whether it fits your situation and budget.

Accident & Critical Illness

These are event-triggered policies — they pay out when something specific happens, like an accident or a covered diagnosis. They’re not a replacement for major medical, but they can offset costs that primary insurance doesn’t fully cover. We explain how they work and where the limits are.

Dental, Vision & Supplementals

Major medical plans often leave gaps in dental and vision coverage. Standalone supplemental plans can fill those gaps, but the structure varies — some cover preventive only, others include major services. We walk through what’s typically included, what costs look like, and how supplementals coordinate with your primary plan.

Not sure where to start?

That’s the most common thing we hear. Most people don’t come to us with a specific plan in mind — they come because something changed and they’re not sure what their options are. That’s exactly what we’re here for. We’ll walk through your situation and explain what’s available without pushing you toward anything.
